First and foremost, I would like to thank my OCEA Board of Directors for all of the love and support I have received over the last few weeks during recovery from surgery. As some of you may know, I am currently on medical leave until sometime in June. I have been truly touched by our amazing team! A special shout out to VP Dane McClain, for presiding over the May 15 OCEA General Meeting. Although I didn’t make it through the whole meeting, it was great to attend at least for a short while and see many of you there. OCEA had a sold out crowd for our May Meeting, where a great panel of experts consisting of Debi Peters, Sheila Moltoni and Jennifer Felten fielded questions and input from the audience on a variety of timely topics including:

I hope you have all signed up for the AEA Conference, which is in our own backyard this year. Yes, it is in Long Beach, so no reason not to attend, at least on Saturday! The conference begins with the Business Meeting on Thursday June 20th. I encourage you all to attend. This is a rare opportunity to attend without paying travel expenses and learn what is happening on the national level that you can expect to affect your business.
