I hope this March finds you all well and prospering! The winter of the El Nino is here and hopefully we are all as prepared for this as we were for the TRID challenges we have encountered. The expected dramatic weather and dramatic changes to our industry have not been as life changing as expected (so far)! It appears that we are all going to survive this winter and TRID challenge as well! I would like to take this opportunity to thank our guest speaker from February, Darth Eliopulos for his insight and perspective of the changes in the industry. We had an especially good turnout for last month’s meeting and covered a lot of important information. Please keep in mind that we need to remain strong and push back when the lenders and brokers attempt to jeopardize our normal practices and try to make us assume their responsibilities and liabilities.
I am looking forward to our next meeting, wherein Nancy Silberberg, President of Altus Escrow, Inc. and the Escrow Institute of California AND Juliana Tu from Viva Escrow and 2016 CEA Treasurer/Secretary will be speaking! It will be a fantastic meeting and I am hoping for a great turnout. Please get your dinner reservations in early so we can make sure we have enough room! We will be also attending the AEA conference in Arizona this May and will keep you up to date with the information they provide.

On a different topic, I would like to extend my condolences to Donna Grosso and her family for the loss or our dear friend, mentor, past president and all around good guy, Mr. Pep, Scott Hunt. He will surely be missed but never forgotten.
Thank you to the following companies who brought raffle prizes to the February meeting:
A-Team Staffing, Avanti Notary, Bank of the West, BBS Notary, California Republic Bank, City National Bank, Opus Bank, RBJ Software, SMS, and Umpqua Bank.
As always, a special THANK YOU to our sponsors last month, Avanti Notary Service, Inc, California Republic Bank and Directs. We could not continue without their support and generosity!
